Truth in the dark is the same as a lie in the light. The difference between the two is that one is internal and one is external. Internal truth, that is truth held in the darkness of the heart, never comes out through your actions, words, and thoughts, whereas external lies always find their way into your actions, words, and thoughts and slowly seep into your heart. Sadly enough, truth in the heart is never sought out until a lie creeps in. It is not until a lie reduces us into a state of submission that we turn on the light and look for evidence. It’s a sad day in one’s life when a lie is needed to generate the truth.

Acting on truth requires us to take responsibility for what we know to be right. People really think refusing to comply with a true statement somehow makes it false. Do I have news for them! Whether accepted or not, truth is always truth. Denial does not make facts irrelevant. Acting on truth means answering the question, “Who are you, truly?” This is a heart, mind and soul question. It requires three different answers put through the truth filter. It is very important for us to know that separately, our heart, mind and soul can lead us in the wrong direction. It is the common denominator of all three that gives us the true path we must take.

It is time to launch yourself out of your present condition into your true potential. Legitimacy can be the rocket to make that happen. Truth ignited in your heart lifts you to the next level in life. We sometimes pretend to be acrophobic in order to avoid it. Actually, we are not afraid of heights; we are afraid of our reality. You and I are afraid of having truth in our hearts, because once it gets there, it is unavoidable.

Every person is blind until the eyes of their heart are opened.

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…” Ephesians 1:18
